The Final Men's Night of 2011
The final Men's Night of the 2011 season was held on the first thursday of October featuring over 40 men and women who were a mixture of men players and sponsors. This season along with the kind contributions of Jason Pley of Pley Roofing, the Hollies Men's Club were able to contribute $4,000.00 to Port Alberni's hospice house, Ty Watson House. Executive Director of Ty Watson House, Erin Girling was on hand to receive the cheque presented by Pat Little, Vern Weiss, and Jason Pley. Donna Shannon, representing Hollies' Ladies Night group was also present and presented a cheque for $400.00. To date, the Hollies' has had the good fortune to be able to help Port Alberni charities to over $15,000.00 in the time since beginning Men's and Ladies' nights. Every year, owners Pat and Jackie Little think the following year will be difficult to overcome the previous years expectations, and so far....each year has been a successful surprize. Thank you to all our Men and sponsors for making the year such a success for Ty Watson House.
